Substations Asset Management Engineer

Our client is a leading electrical distributor, seeking an enthusiastic Substations Asset Management Engineer. Your responsibilities will be to prepare, schedule, coordinate and support assigned asset management tasks and minor design enhancements for distribution and zone substations, distribution network protection and metering assets including quality of supply in accordance with the requirements of the Asset Management Plan, in a manner that supports the Division’s strategic intent of environmental and commercial excellence.
As part of the Electricity Assets Group, the Electricity Asset Management Branch is responsible for the risk management, long term asset management and related financial strategies of Network’s electricity assets.

Job Specific Skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or other acceptable
  qualification.
• Project management skills for implementing and completing projects specific
  to the Asset Management Plan.
• Asset management and plan development skills.
• Problem solving, analysing results and identifying alternative viable options.
• Lead, motivate and coordinate with team members as appropriate to achieve
  a common goal.
• Design skills associated with protection, control and electrical network
  equipment installations.
• Achieving practical outcomes within resource constraints.
• Good computer skills in the area of standard office products, databases,
  drawing systems.
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively
  convey information and knowledge.
• Quality and environmental auditing skills
• Possess a licence to drive a motor vehicle.
