    New projects from roads and rail to urban design
    This issue of Infrastructure Australia contains articles on a range of projects including a rail overpass near Newcastle which eliminates a major bottleneck for the coal trains coming from the Hunter Valley into the Port of Newcastle and the raising of the Hinze Dam in southeast Queensland to ensure water supply for the growing region. Also included is a policy statement from the federal shadow minister for infrastructure and water, Anthony Albanese, who doesn't have a direct counterpart in the government.
    Rounding off the issue are an update of Engineers Australia's policy on infrastructure and the launch of a campaign by the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia to prepare local councils for the infrastructure challenges ahead.
